I’m still sick, but I wanted to start week 2 strong, so I decided to do 4 miles today. My schedule is also still crazy with work, so I had to get it in on my lunch break.

My splits didn’t end up making a whole lot of sense. After warming up I ran the second mile a bit quicker, but fell off hard in the third. I think it’s because I’ve been running 2, when I started the third, it made my body go “wait, what?”

But when I made my brain tell my body that we weren’t quitting until we hit four, I felt a little boost going into the 4th and everything sort of evened out. I hate running, but there’s beauty in doing something you hate. One of my favorite things to remember while running is:

Everything ends.

It’s been about an hour since I’ve finished and I’m still riding the high. There’s nothing better than how you feel after making yourself do something you didn’t want to do for an hour – just try it.
